We've been working hard on making 3.4.2 be a solid release full of improvements and one area that is really getting some love is payment plans.
I could highlight all the short comings of it currently... but I'd rather just show you all the awesomeness that is coming later today.

Now when you are creating a payment plan you can specify EXACTLY what you want the client to pay in…
Read more Pancake Payments is looking for designer who can code html/css and maybe knows a thing or two about jQuery. We need someone who can jump in, make things look pretty, help organize stuff and is willing to share their ideas on how we can improve.
We don't care what school you went to.

You will be responsible for both our actual product's interface as well as improving our site so you…
This is just a quick heads up to say that Phil ( @philsturgeon ) is here for the next two weeks to hammer on Pancake. On top of that ( @brunormbarros ) will be squashing the remaining bugs while addressing any remaining support request. Lastly Adam ( @darkhousemedia ) and Lee ( @thatleeguy ) will be finishing…
Read moreThere is a new client area we're calling The Kitchen. This is where your clients can view all of their invoices, estimates, projects, tasks and proposals, as well as communicate with you on everything. The first thing you'll need to do is set some items to be viewable in the Kitchen. For invoices, when you're creating or editing invoices and estimates, you can toggle 'Show in client area?'. Introducing.... The Kitchen!
Read moreOften we find ourselves billing for the same task over and over, over and over, over and… well you know what I’m talking about. Its boring, repetitious and opens you up to making mistakes such as billing at the wrong rate. That sucks.

Our British "bloke" Phil decided that he would love to create a video demonstrating a little bit of what Pancake has to offer. He put together this short-ish (11 minute) video briefly giving you an overview of how things work in Pancake and what you can do with it. Though the video was created but a few days ago it is already slightly out of date as we've added in many features since then. Don't worry though, Pancake comes with an auto-updater that keeps your install up to date!
Listening to some Matthew Good with no internet inspired me to write about all the things in Pancake that are automatic, then I realized that would be a rather long post.…
Today we were going to write an article about the brilliant new 3.1.0 coming out, but now we’re on v3.1.3. What is happening? Awesome stuff is happening.
Back in the v1.x days you would have to manually update all the files and go through an upgrade wizard to update your database. In v2.x we implemented “Migrations” so your database would automatically be updated when your files were upgraded. This made it easier, but still a little too time consuming. Now in v3.1 we have made this…
Read moreIt’s finally here, the biggest and most awesome version of Pancake to be released to date: v3.0! Unlike the last few updates which have been mainly bug fixes and small new features, we’ve really gone to town with your suggestions and added in a huge array of new features which not only make Pancake more useful but put it ahead of a few big players feature-wise.
So what is so great about v3.0?
You can now create a proposal, attach one or more estimates…
